Independence Bank Donates to Elementary
Representatives from Independence Bank stopped by the Hinsdale Public Schools on September 15th to drop off a donation of $400. The money comes from a program Independence Bank sponsors to support local schools. Any customer of Independence Bank can designate a school of their choice to receive a donation. Every time that customer uses their debit card the bank makes a five cent donation to the school on behalf of that customer. At the end of the year the money is added up and donated to the school. The $400 Hinsdale received will go toward books for our elementary students in both their classrooms and in the school library.
Hinsdale would like to thank Independence Bank for their willingness to give back to local schools. We would also like to thank all the patrons that send their donations to our school district. Five cents may not seem like a lot but at the end of the day it will be about 40 new books for our students and that is pretty great.
